here's a look at my UA&P essay:
September 22, 1987 was no ordinary date. In the wee hours of the morning that day, I had officially become part of human society. I became a Filipino citizen and was presented to the world as Stephanie Anne Guerrero Sy. But I am more often than not called by my nicknames: Tippi, Steph, Teppie, Sneezy, Alsa, and my personal favorite Misua (why they call me that is a mystery to me too). The list goes on, but who exactly am I?
Frivolous. Artistic. Imaginative. Bookworm. Active. These are just some words that you can use to describe me. A lot of people say I take after my dad. My mom emphasizes this point by saying that I am a carbon copy of him, not just by looks, but also by the way I organize my things. I have never always had a fancy for books. My “addiction” for them came right after I read the very first page of Harry Potter. I was so enticed by it that I’ve never stopped since. I consider myself an artist. I love the idea of free expression, and my passion for art increases that love. My accomplishments in school have driven me to become a better person. They have helped me grow into someone I never thought I could be.
I have so many goals in life that I want to attain. But whatever God has planned for me, I shall receive it wholeheartedly. I know that He will not let me be unguided in this journey. And once I feel contented, I know that I have done my part in this world.
